1. The Service

TryRackets provides a 7-day padel racket rental service allowing customers to test premium padel rackets in real playing conditions before deciding whether to purchase.

All rentals are for a fixed period of 7 consecutive days.

2. Rental Period

• The rental period begins on the day the racket is delivered, as confirmed by courier tracking.

• The rental period ends 7 days later.

• The racket must be dispatched for return on or before the final rental day, unless you choose to purchase it.

Late returns may incur additional charges (see Section 8).

3. Rental Fees

• Rental fees are charged upfront at checkout.

• Rental fees are non-refundable, including if you later decide to purchase the racket.

4. Buy Option (“Keep the Racket”)

• From Day 3 of your rental, you may choose to purchase the racket you are using.

• An automated email will be sent with a purchase link.

• The purchase price is fixed and shown in advance.

• If you complete the purchase, no return is required.

Rental fees are not deducted from the purchase price.

5. Condition & Acceptable Wear

Normal wear during play is expected.

Acceptable wear includes:

• Light scratches or scuffs

• Grip wear

• Minor cosmetic marks consistent with normal use

These will not result in additional charges.

6. Damage, Loss & Liability

You are responsible for the racket while it is in your possession.

Chargeable damage includes:

• Structural damage

• Cracks or breaks to the frame

• Damage affecting playability

• Excessive or abnormal wear

Severe damage or loss includes:

• Broken or unplayable rackets

• Rackets not returned

• Lost or stolen rackets

In these cases, we reserve the right to:

• Charge for repair costs, or

• Charge up to the full replacement value of the racket

7. Damage Protection

If Damage Protection was selected at checkout:

• It covers cosmetic damage and minor accidental damage

• It does not cover loss, theft, intentional damage, or failure to return

Damage Protection is not insurance.

8. Late Returns

• If a racket is returned late without purchase, additional rental days may be charged.

• Continued failure to return may result in the racket being treated as lost.

9. Payment Authorisation

By placing a rental order, you authorise us to charge your payment method for:

• Additional rental days

• Damage or repair costs

• Replacement cost if the racket is not returned or is severely damaged

Any charges will be reasonable, proportionate, and supported by evidence.

10. Returns

• Return instructions are provided with your order.

• You are responsible for returning the racket securely using the specified method.

• Risk remains with you until the racket is received by us.

11. Cancellations & Refunds

• Orders may be cancelled before dispatch for a full refund.

• Once dispatched, rentals cannot be cancelled or refunded.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

12. Fair Use

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel rentals if we reasonably believe:

• The service is being misused

• Fraudulent activity is suspected

• These Terms & Conditions have been breached

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses

• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
