Who is TryRackets for?
TryRackets is for players who want to make confident equipment decisions — whether you’re upgrading, switching brands, or unsure which racket best suits your game.
Can I buy the racket I rented?
Yes — you’ll receive an option to keep it at a discounted price.
How long is the rental?
Most rentals are for 7 days. This gives you enough time to play real matches and properly assess the racket.
What happens if I damage the racket?
Normal cosmetic wear is expected and covered. This includes minor scratches, grip wear, and light accidental marks. Significant damage outside of normal use may be chargeable.
What if I don’t like the racket?
Simply return it at the end of the rental period. Trying rackets properly before buying is exactly what the service is designed for.
How are rackets delivered and returned?
Rackets are delivered to your address and returned using a tracked courier service. Full return instructions are included with your rental.
Do I need to clean or regrip the racket before returning it?
No. Please return the racket in reasonable condition, but cleaning and grip replacement are handled by us.
What happens if I decide to keep the racket?
If you choose to keep it, your rental simply converts into a purchase at the discounted price we’re offered. No further action is required.
Is there a security hold?
A temporary £70 card authorisation is placed during the rental and released after the racket is returned. This is not a charge and no money leaves your account unless there is an issue.
Payment & Responsibility
To keep the rental process simple and fair:

Rental payment is taken at checkout for your 7-day trial period.

During the rental, we may request additional payment authorisation to help cover loss or damage. Any such authorisation is used only if required.

You are responsible for the racket while it is in your possession.

Normal playing wear is expected and will not be charged.

If a racket is lost, not returned, or damaged beyond normal use, we may charge for repair or replacement costs, up to the retail value of the racket.

From day 3, you’ll have the option to keep the racket at a discounted price instead of returning it.
